Do you love talking about movies?
Are you trying to improve your conversational skills in Spanish?
Do you want to express yourself in Spanish more confidently and in a more sophisticated way?
Are you preparing for the Oral Expression and Interaction portion of an intermediate or advanced Spanish exam, such as the DELE?
If so, come join Manuel’s November Tertulia where the focus will be on movies. Whether you are a cinephile or you just love watching films on Netflix, this is a perfect opportunity to use your love of movies to uplevel your speaking and listening skills, and to express yourself with more confidence and authority about a topic you care about.
Each session will be based around a specific topic from the movie world — American cinema versus Spanish cinema, Spain on the big screen — and some provocative questions to get the conversation started. Students will learn and review vocabulary, grammar and practice activities before each lively discussion. Students will be given ample opportunity to talk and debate during the tertulia.
Outcomes:
At the end of this six-week Tertulia, students will:
Be able to speak about subjects they care about with more confidence and authority.

Be ready to face the Oral Expression and Interaction portion of a Spanish exam.
