Manuel is a native of Spain. He has a Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics, and a Licenciatura (B.A.) in English Linguistics from the Universidad de Salamanca. His specialty is second language acquisition.

Manuel lived in the United States for 25 years, and he is both bilingual and bicultural in Spanish and American culture. As a career educator, he has taught in a variety of distinct settings, from Ivy League universities to corporate boardroom, from urban public schools to study abroad programs in Europe.

Manuel now lives in Málaga in southern Spain. He offers individual classes and small groups, both online or in person.
